Happy Thanksgiving

It's Thanksgiving and I'm up in the wee hours of morning to cook the dinner. The house is smelling like the holidays with the turkey in the oven and baked beans in the crock pot. The pies, breads and deserts are baked waiting to be devoured in just six hours. All is quiet. Everyone is sleeping in their warm beds, not a care in the world, except me. I love having the holiday house. Ours is the place where people come on every holiday knowing they will be welcomed with open arms, good cheer, good company, and great food. So, while I'm up, alone, I'm giving my thanks. My thanks for being able to cook for my family, for spending time together, for their happy returns, and for one amazing smelling house! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

I'm living in a snow globe screaming shake me, shake me! I love to watch it snow, all those beautiful flakes drifting about. It brings back wonderful memories of sledding, laughter, bright red cheeks and hot chocolate. It may be a little early but I've started bringing out the decorations too, snow has that effect on me. I get an impulsive need to make the inside just as sparkly as the outside. I love it! I try to envelope my house in warmth and fragrance, fill it with nuts and fruits (food, not people, hehehe although they're welcome as well), the good things that make my family glad to be home and will hopefully make my children want to return when they're grown.

This brings me to my next project. I'm working on a new kit, filling it with all those things that make a cold season warm and brings people together. So be on the look out for it around Thanksgiving. I think you will love it as much as I do!
