Harvest Time

I was going to wait until October 1st to release Harvest Time, since it's my favorite month. I told myself be patient, it's less than a week away. Could I wait? No! So, let's just pretend I did. Today I'd like to share with you a kit all about the magic of the season. It's the changing leaves and dried plants whispering in the wind, it's acorns and the scurry of tiny creatures gathering, Autumn rains, pumpkins and squash, all leading up to Halloween when anything can happen. The kit has 20 papers and 135 elements of Autumn goodness packed into it. So, happy Autumn, happy harvest, and happy haunting to you!

Harvest Time Quick Page by JetjeZ

I think my favorite part of the kits is seeing the quick page. It's the first time I get to see the kit in use and get another take on it. JetjeZ is simply amazing and her pages are always so intricate and well designed. She manages to take my bits and pieces and turn them into a beautiful work of art to share with all of us. This one is no exception. Packed with Autumn beauty and scattering leaves, she has made a page you just can't resist. Be sure to drop by her place, The Life and Times of JetjeZ, and pick your copy up! If it's not up yet it will be soon :)

Autumn

I love Autumn! It's the most beautiful time of the year and Halloween is my favorite holiday.  We've been having so much fun cooking fall foods, decorating the house, and playing in the leaves that it may appear like I've forgotten all about this blog, other than the 365 project.  That simply isn't the case.  Coming soon, a new Autumn/Halloween kit.  It's been a month in the making (the blog design is from it) and I truly hope you love it as much as I do.  It's one of my biggest kits and I can't wait to share it with you!

Week 37

Ya know, I didn't notice it at the time but last week seemed to have lots of purple to it, the tones, clothes, flowers, and photos... shades of purple.

Week 36 End Of Summer Vacation

We had our last trip to the lake during vacation to say goodbye to the freedom of not having a schedule. Then, vacation ended and the oldest three went back to school, books came home, and home schooling Lil' Miss started. The leaves have just begun to turn and the heat of summer has been replaced with a chill to the air, fall's coming.

Week 35

I'm trying to keep up on posting these on time now... We just finished week 35 of the year. What surprises me most about doing this project is not that I've made it so far, because I have every intention of finishing the year, but that the year seems to be going faster. While counting down each week, and giving each day a number (today is day 247) I actually notice the time going by. Usually, I take the days for granted, they blur together into one long day with naps thrown in, and before I know it Christmas is here. This year, however, each day has significance, is recorded, and important on it's own. I like that. Even though there are some days when I just don't feel up to taking a photo and have to drag myself out of my comfy chair to do it or when it's freezing cold or raining and I get the sniffles for a shot or 90+ degrees and the lens fogs up and I have to wait in the heat for it to acclimate, I'm still glad I've done it. I'm not sure what I'll do on day 366. I think I will actually miss the project if I quit and have been considering a second year, then again I would like to turn the other blog into just a photography one without the daily schedule. I don't know, I guess I have 118 days to figure it all out.
